Dreamland
Posted by WonderWoman in : Nightlife , trackbackMy only experience of nightlife these days is dreamland, which is an absolutely fascinating place.
Last night I dreamt that I stood on a Euopean wasp - but escaped injury.
WonderLove frequently dreams that he and I are fugitives, often armed. On the run, we work together in attempts to rescue his family (family of origin, not our WonderBoy or WonderGirl) from a cult.
Any ideas about what the wasp or cult dreams mean?

Well Wonderwoman, maybe some insight into Wonderlove’s world…
However, we cannot make assumptions without his participation of course.
I read recently that bees tend to be symbolic of sexuality - so that might go for wasps too.
A cult dream, involving the concepts of fugitives - may suggest some kind of collaborated defensiveness or stance regarding a value, belief or attitude shared within the ‘cult’. Perhaps the cult is symbolic of your relationship or family. Or, it could symbolise a work organisation, or even the notion of belonging.
I think the fact that you are together as fugitives, would elude to the idea of partnership, unity or common interests/goals.
In dream analysis, the way you ‘felt’ about objects and symbols are really the more telling part of the dreaming process in terms of gaining some understanding of meaning and enabling one to make relations between dreaming and the subconscious mind.
Was Wonderlove empowered by the cult feeling? Or constrained by it?
Managing to avoid the wasp’s sting could suggest either resilience, immunity or strength, perhaps to an environmental or natural aspect.
This will depend further on the other circumstantial factors surrounding events in dreaming. I find if you look at what symbolism means to the human brain, there is indeed a possibility of understanding dreaming, and interpreting what dreams are reflecting about our psyche, our thoughts.
I think this concept is far removed from anything superstitious or foretelling, and more concerned with psychology - particularly perceptions and emotions.
I’m not a psychologist by the way WW, you must know! I have studied extensively, including fields of visual arts, drama, and social sciences, as well as read numerous books on dreams and psychology and symbolism if that gives me any credit.
Sleep well.
Maybe the wasp dream means that there is something coming up in your future that you are a bit worried about but are pretty sure it will be okay?
I definitely know what WonderLove’s dream means… it means he’s cool and sees you as as his ally, you and him against the world but still as the forces of good!
Titch, you are so impressive. That was great. Thought of charging for your services?
Lady Chaos: I’m delighted that WonderLove is cool, and I love the idea that we are the forces of good.
May the force be with you, Lady C.
Strangely enough, both of these dreams have the same meaning. Dreams are often the means by which the sub-conscious can make it’s feelings known on the conscious.
In your specific case both dreams indicate that you are eating too much cheese too late in the evening.
No wonder you’re a doctor, Fella.
Assuming there is such a thing as the sub-conscious.
