I must be a superhero in someone's lunchtime. Probably Wonder Boy's (aged 6) or Wonder Girl's (aged 3). Possibly Wonder Love's (aged 30-something). I love inner-suburban life, flowers and beautiful - on the inside - people and things. I love to make stuff and make things happen in my world - by joining committees and spending inordinate amounts of time on this!

Not sure it’s possible without you being on one holiday and your kids being on another! I’m just trying to find the secret of a winge free day - never mind the holiday!!!!!
Sorry can I just rephrase my comment above. I meant that if you were on a different holiday to your kids you wouldn’t hear the whinging - not that you are the source of your kids whinging, in case that is how you read it.

my 2 favourite holiday places as a kid (and still are now) were…
1. fiji - we were lucky enough to have a few trips to plantation island as kids, and becuase the island was so small, we were free to roam around all day as we pleased while mum and dad got some time to relax by the pool. there were also a few days we took a day trip to another island all together, which was the perfect mix of family time and alone time.
2. bright, victoria - absolutely beautiful scenery, we’d get a little apartment and make the most of hvaing no computers/fones/work/school etc! some of my best childhood memories are from those holidays!

My sister’s family recently went to Inverloch and she has two young boys. She said the accommodation was poor despite the estate agent saying it was fully renovated! However the boys had such a good time that made it all worthwhile.
However my other sister loves it when we all get together at Easter and Christmas as it means there’s more Aunties around to share the load and she can actually have a coffee or read the paper in peace!
