Miss Zarah and the spirit world

I imagine some people would find it hard to believe that anyone communicates with spirits but others would accept this easily. Which do you believe and why?

She is more than likely talking about the type you find in bottles. (Or ecstacy?) Otherwise the spirits of the dead who her clients have killed would really be making her life hell!!!!

hi wonderwoman. the question about beleiving in spirits or not sounds so easy but is really one of those questions similar to ‘why are we here?’. its very difficult because I’ve always wondered that if dead people become live spirits why don’t they come back and comfort their greiving relatives. or if they were killed why don’t they come back and say ‘it was so-and-so who killed me. I think I’d better stop or my head will start spinning. and….I also love inner suburban life.
it is a very difficult question to answer. it is like asking ‘why are we here?’. If you have watched the Psychics programme on ABC then you must believe there is something to it! The psychics have had no previous connection with murder victims, yet the victims get in touch with them and help them help the police to solve their murder. This is much more believable than the old hands around the table scenario, but who knows? I’m a lot older than you so what say I come back and give you a message when I pass on??????
Haven’t watched the psychics program on the ABC … but would love to. By all means give me a message after you pass on. How do you know you are a lot older than me?

Well some would say that some people do “come back” as spirits and comfort their grieving relatives. And some wuld say that some spirits do communicate that “so-and-so did it” if they were murdered… My mother has an extra-sensory gift … and so does my very good friend Fiona. So I am inclined to believe.
I’ve used this line before “there are more things in Heaven and Earth”…….. Although there are many fraudsters I do believe there are those that appear to have an ability to know things, how I’m not sure, ESP, second sight ,intuition. So I am open to believing.

hi, I believe in spirits and angels and other things. And I can even talk to them to. Here we go, everyone will think I am nuts. And at first I thought I was too. But I do talk to dead people, but I don’t do it for money, and I believe it helps many people who are grieving for their lost loved one. But for some reason the deceased person can’t communicate everyting to us.
For you to believe in all of this, the spirit world, part of you has to actually believe. It is amazing what you can feel around you that we truely cannot see.
I do beleive that there are things/beings/spirits we can’t see, but are they dead people or are they separate beings in their own right? surely all these beings aren’t just dead people. also the idea that when we die we don’t really die - is that because we find it hard to accept that we absolutely cease to exist? and following that thru - is that why religions continue to have supporters - even though they have committed unspeakable atrocities against men, women and children - because they tell people that when they die they go to ‘a better place’. perhaps people find that comforting rather than total cessation.

Great ponderances. Given my mother’s and my friend Fiona’s experiences: some of the spirits/beings/things - at least - are dead people. I dunno if others are separate beings in their own right.
In this context, we may consider the physics law (one that we mere mortals have derived) that “no matter is created nor destoryed” (everything is being constantly recycled). Perhaps that would lead us to think that the spirits/beings/things are all dead people?
The idea that our ego (the idea that we are reluctant to accept that we cease to exist at death) is enmeshed with attraction to religion is indeed plausible.

Do you choose the time that you communicate with spirits? Or do they choose the time? If so, is it ever an inconvenient time? From what age have you done this? Was it ever scary? Did you ever need help along the way? Would love to hear your story.

I don’t doubt that your mother and your friend Fiona have a sensitivity to these things. because I do believe there are more beings around than just humans and animals on this earth. you only have to walk into some places to feel that there is a presence you can’t see. I’m just questioning whether all those beings are dead people because I feel that others are beings in their own right. but of course I have no proof. that is just my instinctive feeling.
Perhaps you could encourage your instinctive feelings … and an answer may be revealed. There must be another Nookster out there - somewhere - who has sufficient experience of these things to have an answer. Where are you, oh wise Nookster? And I don’t mean you, ackbar, or you, segue…
There are many people that BELIEVE they have intimate conversations with spirits around here …

But it does open up a few possibilities ,
mild schizoid tendancies.
Altered thoughts patterns
or simply they think in a very different way to the rest of us SANE people , in such a way that they feel their thoughts are originating elsewhere.
Many of the things people accept as ESP or psychic ability are simple parlour tricks ..
People like john edwards etc , all use techniques known as COLD READING , there is nothing psychic about it , in fact almost anyone can be TAUGHT how to do it in a few hours..

Recently many of these “psychics” have been caught out being fed information about their targets by their assistants…
and NONE of them , are prepared to step up and be tested properly to assess their abilities , think about it , if one of these people could PROVE their abilities they would no doubt win a nobel prize , and start their VERY own scientific area of development .
