My Queenslander mum is visiting for five days from today… so I am excited at the prospect of doing just a little less child-caring and a little more husband-caring. We even get to go out - without them! Hooray!

I must be a superhero in someone's lunchtime. Probably Wonder Boy's (aged 6) or Wonder Girl's (aged 3). Possibly Wonder Love's (aged 30-something). I love inner-suburban life, flowers and beautiful - on the inside - people and things. I love to make stuff and make things happen in my world - by joining committees and spending inordinate amounts of time on this!

You should take her something uniquely Melbourne, something Queensland doesn’t have: like culture! Take her out to Montsalvat or the NGV or Philippa’s.
Or is your mum taking care of the kids so you can take the hubby out?
