Enjoy your school reunion?
Posted by WonderWoman in : My life , 2 commentsMy 20-year reunion is coming up - interstate (i.e. I am in contact with VERY few of my old classmates, generally speaking). We’re having a night-time do (partners invited) and a picnic (kids invited) the following day. I want to enjoy it.
Nooksters, please tell me:
(1) Would you bring your partner (or would your partner be bored)?
(2) What would you do or suggest (I am in contact with the organiser) to make it a fun night/day?
Tell me your experiences, please!
Chatter Choo
Posted by WonderWoman in : Kids stuff , 8 commentsThe end?
Posted by WonderWoman in : My life , 1 comment so farNoticed all the euthanasia talk lately? (Four Corners this week, Australian Story in two parts a few weeks ago, radio news re:Four Corners piece etc, insight not so long ago). It has seemed to come in a rush - at least from where I sit (the couch).
I’m particularly interested in the fact that grannies are becoming drug smugglers and drug “cooks” - anyone else think that’s pretty weird?
Best email sign-off
Posted by WonderWoman in : My life , 17 commentsI have an issue - with “cheers”. I hate it as a email sign-off. Someone signed off “cheerypop” on an email to me last week, and I rather liked that. Anyone got other suggestions beyond the usual “regards” etc?
P.S. I dunno where this aversion has emanated from but I just have it, OK? I also hate “What’s up?” in conversation.
Fabulous - and cheap- homemade cakes in Ascot Vale
Posted by WonderWoman in : Where I Live , add a commentHop along to Union Rd, Ascot Vale, this Saturday - MAY 5 - morning to buy fabulous cakes, biccies and other delights (very probably the Turkish variety) from 9am.
We’ll be on the footpath, raising money for drought relief AND the Ascot Vale Uniting Church (the one that burnt down three years ago; plans to rebuild are mired in red tape, not to mention mixed mesages, courtesy MVCC) .
Cooking is being done by the people of the Ascot Vale Uniting Church.
Any requests for good old-fashioned anything? We could give it a go. Just tell us here on Nook!

Best boots
Posted by WonderWoman in : Shopping , 6 commentsI am on the lookout for some flat knee-high boots that have an elastic bit in the leg section. Not pointy-toed. In case you’re wondering, definitely disimilar to traditional WonderWoman garb. Any clues? Please?
